Pacific Association of Pediatric Surgeons (PAPS) was founded in 1967 not only for pediatric surgeons who resided within the Pacific Rim but also of prominent pediatric surgeons from outside of that area. The founding organizing meeting occurred in 1968 in Seattle, Wash, and then adjourned to Rosario Resort in the San Juan Islands on Orcas Island, Wash. Throughout the years, the association grow steadily and mature as an academic and social event with sound principles and relevant scientific/social activities for members to enjoy.
